jawel...op de achterbank of in de kofferruimte en dat gaat dan overigens ook zonder enige mate van aanpassing

Een 209 klok kan er wel in Anish, heb er nog eentje over die je kan 'schoonvegen' bij de kilometerboer en inbouwen.

Thank you, sounds good and thank you for the quick answer! So Star Diagnosis Developer it is. What exactly do you refer to as version coding? In other words, could I physically install this myself and then drive to somebody with the developer kit to have it matched to my individual cars features, or does it need to be programmed immediately?

Furthermore, is my understanding correct, that the gauge cluster must be new as the car will not accept one that had previously been mated to another vehicle? (Despite Mercedes themselves selling used clusters through MBGTC...)

P.S. The reason I came across this modification in the first place is because somebody in Germany was able to install the new W212 gauge cluster with the new color screen in a W204, which of course is the pinnacle of this change.

the cluster HAS to be new indeed...MBGTC sells new instrument clusters every now and then - but then again, they easily tell you that a certain IC is new even when it has done 5km (and has been assigned to a car already)

the new IC with colordisplay is most probably too new for DAS developer...incase you do want to go for a colordisplayed IC, I have a new C63 one in stock (which fits the pre modelupdate 204s as well after the front faceplate has been swapped out)

probably not...DAS versions of stardiagnose won't be able to recognize the updated 212 cluster and the xentry version of stardiagnose won't let you versioncode it in a 204

Does this apply even if it is an actual facelift w204 cluster rather than a w212? I thought that electronically it might be more compatible a facelift w204 IC even though it might require a prefacelift faceplate to physically fit the car. Am I correct?
