The Tokyo Game Show introducing GT5 featuring the SLS AMG

At the end of last week a new video was uploaded to YouTube showing off 7m 43s of Gran Turismo 5. The footage was captured at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart and the vehicle being driven is the SLS AMG luxury sports car around the Nurburgring.

In the YouTube comments there are a lot of complaints about how arcade-like the controls look, but the suspicion is the settings have been changed to make driving much easier for those visiting the museum.

As the information box on the YouTube page explains, these are the settings the game is being played under:

Physics: Standard
ESP: On
Steering Aids: Off
Traction Control: 5
Tires: R3/R3

It’s also stated by the uploader slyght82 that:

Unfortunately car damage is off (and wasn’t configurable) and there was no penalty for shortcutting

We shouldn’t judge the handling off this one video, but we can just sit back and enjoy nearly eight minutes of what is clearly a great engine powering the game. If nothing else, it looks fantastic.
